This building has been part of Framingham since 1910. The story behind R6 Grill is one of patience, vision, and real work.
This building has been standing at 398 Waverly Street since 1910 — one block from where six railroad lines once converged at the heart of downtown Framingham. The bricks in these walls have seen everything.
When a local owner put everything into the old Happy Swallow fifteen years ago, he saw something other people didn't: bones worth saving. Locals used to call it "The Dirty Bird" — a dive bar known more for its fights than its food, going back to the 1970s. But this block had too much history to walk away from. The vision was there, and it got done right.
What followed was years of real work — doubling the footprint, building a commercial kitchen from scratch, and restoring every surface worth keeping. The rough reputation is gone. The bones are the same. Everything else is new.
What's here now is different. R6 Grill brings authentic Brazilian cuisine together with a sports bar built the right way. The room that always deserved a kitchen finally has one.

We're building something real at 398 Waverly Street — a Brazilian sports grill with 115-year-old bones and a brand new kitchen. We need great people to run it right. If that's you, we want to hear from you.
We're looking for experienced, driven assistant managers to help run the day-to-day operations of R6 Grill. You'll support the floor staff, assist with bar team coordination, work closely with the kitchen, and ensure every guest leaves happy. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a restaurant that's built to last.
- Oversee daily front-of-house and bar operations
- Lead, train, and support the floor and bar team
- Manage opening and closing procedures
- Handle guest relations and resolve issues professionally
- Monitor inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships
- Work directly with ownership on building the R6 culture
- 2+ years restaurant or bar management experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a plus — not required
- Positive, hands-on attitude — no job too big or small
- Flexible availability including evenings and weekends
- ServSafe or TIPS certified preferred
R6 Grill has a full bar and we need skilled bartenders who bring both speed and personality. You'll be the face of the bar — crafting caipirinhas, pouring Brazilian beers, running game day specials, and keeping the energy right. If you love people and love drinks, this is your place.
- Craft cocktails, pour beers, and serve the full bar menu
- Keep the bar clean, stocked, and running efficiently
- Engage guests — game day crowds, regulars, and first-timers
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Learn and serve Brazilian specialty drinks (we'll train you)
- Work closely with floor staff during busy events and game days
- 1+ year bartending experience preferred
- TIPS certified or willing to obtain certification
- Fast, friendly, and cool under pressure
- Bilingual (English/Portuguese) a big plus
- Available evenings, weekends, and game days
- 21+ required
